ChemB Consulting is a company of engineers and scientists established in the 1994 with the aim of providing comprehensive process engineering and consulting services throughout the Chemical-Process Industry (CPI). The company has provided services on various projects to many CPI facilities in Australia and overseas.

Our engineers have an extensive knowledge to fully evaluate project objectives and then design a process to specifically suit your individual needs.

 

ChemB Consulting have been offering wide range of engineering services to Chemical-Process Industry (CPI). A process and project engineering background of our key engineering personnel combined with more than 20 years experience in detailed design, risk and plant engineering for CPI has enabled us to carry out complete projects or individual tasks with the in-depth knowledge and expertise required by our clients. The projects and design tasks have been carried out either as a small to medium size projects or as team/individual engineering secondment assignments that require specialised expertise. Consulting work with a strong emphasis on process development and equipment design is another activity we strongly pursue.

 

ChemB Consulting’s area of expertise extends from process engineering tasks for pilot plant designs up to CPI plant commissioning combined with a risk and project engineering work. ChemB Consulting has specialised in preparing and leading HAZOP and related studies for CPI as well as preparing conceptual design and Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies for new projects and auditing of FEED studies performed by others.

 

ChemB Consulting also covers small to medium size projects managed as Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) contracts including plant engineering services.  In last three years we have been involved on several major projects throughout CPI in Australia. Internationally we have provided professional engineering services to the Chemical Company of Malaysia (CCM) and NEEP (USA).

 

We have been the main process engineering contractor for Orica Engineering (ex ICI Australia Engineering).  In the last six years we have completed some major design tasks (e.g. Olefines Plant Ethane Pipeline to Botany, Ferric Chloride, Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrochloric Acid and EDC Plants).  We have also been involved with process development and equipment design for various modifications throughout Orica and associated companies.

 

We have recently forged an alliance with ICD Asia-Pacific (Shell International Services company) through their NSW engineering office. This alliance has strengthened both ChemB Consulting and ICD Asia-Pacific with an additional expertise and resources towards achieving excellence in EPCM for the CPI. 

 

We also hold distribution rights for Specialised processes and equipment in CPI applications such as odour removal and treatment (scrubbing) of contaminated industrial exhaust gases and industrial or ground wastewater stripping.

 

ShallowTray® is a range of products, used for the removal of the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and other (selected) medium to high volatile gases, manufactured by USA company North East Environmental Products, Inc. (NEEP). ShallowTray® is a patented low profile air stripper which utilises forced draft, counter-current air flow through baffled aeration trays to remove VOC from waste water.

 

Optional components that may be incorporated as part of a VOC treatment process include EconoPumpTM (Compact Multi-well Jet Pump for extracting ground contaminated waters) and PurgePanel TM(Hazardous Area Instruments & Control Panel).

 

We have comprehensive cooperation with various suppliers in CPI (as informal agency arrangements) for the design and supply of specialised processes and equipment (gas-liquid separation, packing, blowers, pumps, etc.,).
